Harshad Chopra is an Indian television actor, best known for playing Captain Aditya Hooda in Bepanah and Dr. Abhimanyu Birla in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He is the recipient of four Indian Television Academy Awards, one Indian Telly Award, and two Asian Audience Television Awards.
Chopra was born on 17 May 1983 in Gondia, Maharashtra. He completed his schooling at Rabindranath Tagore School, Gondia. He then did his graduation in Computer Engineering from Modern College of Engineering, Pune.
Chopra made his television debut in 2006 with Zee TV’s Mamta, where he played the role of Karan Srivastava. From 2006 to 2007, he played the role of Cadet Ali Baig in SAB TV’s Left Right Left. Thereafter, he joined Sony TV’s Ambar Dhara as Akshat Mehra opposite Kashmera Irani.
From 2008 to 2010, he played the role of Prem Juneja in Star Plus’s Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil opposite Aditi Gupta. From 2010 to 2011, Chopra played the role of Anurag Ganguly in Star Plus’s Tere Liye opposite Anupriya Kapoor.
From 2011 to 2012, he played the role of Mohan Gala in NDTV Imagine’s Dharampatni opposite Asiya Kazi. In 2012, Chopra starred in Life OK’s Dil Se Duas… Saubhagyavati Bhava? Played the role of Raghavendra Pratap Singh in? From 2014 to 2015, he played the role of Sahir Azim Chowdhary in Sony TV’s Humsafar opposite Shivya Pathania.

From October 2021, Chopra is starring as Dr. Abhimanyu Birla in Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai alongside Pranali Rathod. Chopra also starred in the musical series Aakhri Mulakat, performing four songs with Smriti Kalra.
In 2017, Chopra was ranked 16th in The Times of India’s Top 20 Most Desirable Men on the Indian Television list. In 2018, he was ranked number 19 on Eastern Eye’s list of 50 Sexiest Asian Men. His chemistry with Jennifer Winget in Bepannaah earned him the title of Times of India’s Most Favorite Onscreen Couple of 2018. He was also listed at number 8 in The Times of India’s Top 20 Most Desirable Men on Indian Television 2018.
In 2019, he was ranked 6th on Eastern Eye’s list of 50 Sexiest Asian Men. Subsequently, he was ranked 8th in The Times of India’s Top 20 Most Desirable Men on Indian Television 2019.
