He is best known for playing Neil Khanna in Star Plus’ show Naamkarann and Yuvraj Luthra in Zee TV’s Tashan-e-Ishq, which won him the Gold Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role. After appearing in reality shows, Imam made his reality debut in 2019 by participating in the adventure stunt-based show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, where he finished in the 9th position. His later fictionalized role as Kabir Mittal, an ex-army officer in StarPlus’ mystery revenge drama Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna failed to impress the audience. She was next seen in the music video Tanhai by Tulsi Kumar under T-Series in 2020.
In 2021, Imam progressed into digital platforms with the web series Crash, portraying Dr. Rishabh Sachdeva, co-starring Rohan Mehra, Kunj Anand, Aditi Sharma, and Anushka Sen. Imam completed 3 years with his role of Agastya Raichand Returned to television after a long break as an obsessive/obsessive lover, the lead protagonist in Gul Khan production Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan opposite Reem Shaikh on Colors TV. For which he received appreciation from the audience. The show ended on 2 September 2022. He appeared in the Top 20 “Most Desirable Men” list ranking at No. 5 in 2018 and No. 15 in 2019.
